Founded in 1969, Dublin Simon Community is one of Ireland’s oldest and most well-known homelessness charities, providing services across Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan.
Dublin Simon delivers services at all points of homelessness, from street outreach through to the provision of independent housing. We are also the largest provider of healthcare and treatment to people experiencing homelessness and are currently constructing a 100-bed medical facility in Dublin city.
We rely on fundraising to operate many of our services and have a range of funding stakeholders for selected services including the Department of Housing, Dublin Region Homeless Executive, other local authorities and the HSE. As of July 2023, there are more than 12,000 availing of emergency accommodation in Ireland.
