Plan Your Visit to the PTSB Ideal Home Show

October 13, 2026

With hundreds of exhibitors, expert talks, live demonstrations and dedicated areas covering everything from interiors and home energy to building, modular homes, kitchens and bathrooms, it pays to plan ahead.

Before You Arrive

Come Prepared for Your Project

  • If you’re visiting with a particular project in mind, bring as much useful information as you can. Understand what you’re planning and provide more relevant advice. It’s also useful to have an approximate budget and timeframe in mind.
  • Make a list of questions before you arrive so you can make the most of your conversations with exhibitors. As well as comparing prices, ask about lead times, delivery and installation, warranties and after-sales support. Having several relevant suppliers together at the Show gives you a great opportunity to compare products, services and costs in one day.
  • If you’re building, or extending, visit Build, Extend & Modular Homes zone, where you can step inside full-size modular homes and garden rooms and talk directly to suppliers about layouts, costs, site requirements and installation.
  • You can also explore dedicated areas for Kitchens & Bathrooms, Self-Build, Home Tech & Security, Drive Electric, Health & Wellbeing, Home Interiors and Home Accessories & Lifestyle.

Make the Most of the Expert Advice

  • Bring your questions to the PhoneWatch Ask an Expert Hub for one-to-one advice, or visit the DFS Interiors Theatre, hosted by Jo Linehan, for talks and conversations on interiors and design.
  • At the Dulux Heritage Interior Design Hub, book a colour consultation with Jane Witter and the Dulux team, and step inside the Charlotte Bradshaw room sets to see how colour, furniture, finishes and accessories can work together.
  • For advice on creating a smarter, warmer and more energy-efficient home, visit the Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan Home Advice Theatre, with special talks from Dermot Bannon on Saturday.
  • Planning a Home Energy Upgrade? Allow time to visit the Electric Ireland Superhomes Home Energy Upgrade Pavilion, if you’re considering improving the energy performance of your home. Explore solutions including heat pumps, heat pumps, insulation, ventilation and home retrofits.

Take Time to Explore

  • Visit the Dunnes Stores Pavilion for food, interiors and design inspiration from Francis Brennan, William Costelloe, Helen James and Carolyn Donnelly as well as live cooking at the Dunnes Stores Chef’s Live Theatre with Neven Maguire, Donal Skehan and more.
  • Explore the Home Interiors Fair for furniture, flooring, lighting and interiors ideas, and browse Home Accessories & Lifestyle for accessories and finishing touches.

Keep Track of What You Find

  • After speaking to several exhibitors, it can be difficult to remember which products or companies stood out. Take photographs of products you like and make a quick note on your phone of the company name, stand number, price or quotation details and anything you want to follow up on.
