Financing Your Build At The permanent tsb Ideal Home Show

Experts from the Revenue Commissioners will be at the show to explain to visitors about the home renovation incentive scheme and how to save tax on home improvements across the 4 day event.
Tax refunds of up to €4,050 or 13.5% of the cost of the project are available on a wide range of home improvements under this scheme, which ends in December 2018. The scheme allows home owners to claim a credit on the tax liability of up to 13.5% of the project, with a cost limit of €30,000.

Revenue will also be on hand to talk about the Help To Buy Scheme (HTB), where first time buyers can avail of help in securing the deposit required to buy or build their dream home or apartment.
The scheme will provide a refud of Income Tax and Deposit Interest Retention Tax (DIRT) that the owner has paid in Ireland over the past 4 years, once the home has been built or bought.
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) will also be at the permanent tsb Ideal Home Show this Autumn offering advice to home owners about the Better Energy Home Scheme. They will be there to explain how home owners can become a recipient of a grant up to €6,000 to enable them to upgrade their homes with energy efficient measures, which in turn reduces their energy use, costs and greenhouse emissions. Make sure to attend their talk at the Mitsubishi Electric Home Advice Theatre.
