7 Must See Artists & Photographers
There is nothing more personal – nothing that reflects your personality – more than your home.
If you’re wondering how to incorporate personality to give your home a greater feeling of belonging, using art is a good call. The permanent tsb Ideal Home Show will host a variety of Ireland’s finest artists and photographers who will be showcasing their work.
Elisa Capitanio is an Italian artist, currently living and working in Ireland.
Art, colours, shapes, travels and words have always been part of her being. A lot of her work explores the relationship between combined and contrasted colours.
You can check out Elisa’s brand new art collection at October’s show at stand N37.
Dublin born artist Donna McGee is largely self-taught and has developed a unique style, encompassing a diverse range of influences. Her work draws on the allure of stormy skies or vibrant sunsets contrasting with the dynamic force of the ocean.

Aidan White is a landscape photographer living in Wicklow Town, Ireland.
Through the lens, Aidan looks to creatively capture the wonder, emotion and unique beauty of the Irish landscape. He always welcomes suggestions for photographing new locations, perhaps a particular mountain, lake, town or ocean view you have always enjoyed.

Frank O’Dea, is achieving a growing recognition from art buyers in Ireland and internationally with his works in private and public collections in the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, USA and Australia. Frank works from his studio based in Clontarf and at his art gallery – Balla Bán Art Gallery, located in Dublin’s Westbury Mall (off Grafton Street).
Working with oils he has developed his own unique style where bright colours and simplicity are featured in his paintings. Regular themes include musicians, fashion models, lovers, and cafe/bar scenes and some quirky subject matters of everyday life as well as abstract works.

Jin Yong is a Chinese artist who is based in Ireland since 2002. When he was about five years old, he became interested in art and began taking lessons from a private teacher. He studied for four years in Art and Design in Changchun City. After moving to Shanghai city, he got his first work experience as a graphic designer and design editor for ‘Good Morning Shanghai’, one of the biggest Korean magazine publishing company.
Jin Yong looks for inspiration in nature and gets new ideas from modern culture. Sometimes he mixes colours to make some unique colour tones, though for him, the most beautiful colours are primary colours.

Theo has painted all of his life and has developed his own style.
Theo’s acrylic paintings are impressionistic; the characteristics of Theo’s paintings which deem them impressionist painting include his visible knife and brushstrokes, emphasis on light in its changing qualities and the inclusion of movement as a crucial element of human perception and experience.
Make sure you visit his exhibition at stand K15.
Aimee Gillen studied at Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork Institute of Technology from the year 2007 until 2009 when she was awarded with a B.A Ordinary in Fine Art and Design.
She has been working on self-initiated and commissioned projects since 2009, whilst also organising and taking part in various exhibitions along the way.
